2) The
Town of Lac du Bonnet through the Canada-Manitoba Infrastructure Programs,
and with the assistance of the Manitoba Water Services Board, is
undertaking completion of the watermain renewal project with the goal of
renewing all the existing cast iron piping within the Town system.
Construction works to be
completed by Taillieu Construction Ltd., and administered by the
engineering firm of J.R. Cousin Consultants Ltd.
Works will include replacement
of the cast iron piping in the following locations:
• Fifth Avenue: from
McArthur Avenue to Leslie Avenue
• Balsam Crescent: entire
length
During construction, there will
be some interruptions in the water service during daytime hours, however
Tallieu and the Town will do their best to minimize the duration of all
interruptions. You may experience service interruptions even if you are
not in the areas of construction.
In each of the areas of
construction, a temporary water ser- vice will be provided to affected
residences. Representatives from the Town, Taillieu and JRCC will connect
the temporary service to the building, which will be provided either
through a surface fire hose connection to an exterior hose bib, or through
a connection in the basement. During this time, your water meter will not
record water usage.
The temporary water service is
sized for domestic use only. Watering lawns will be prohibited while on
temporary service.
Residents are requested to not
touch or tamper with temporary water service lines. You are also requested
to stay clear of the construction works, so that the construction works
can proceed as quickly as possible, minimizing the impact to all
residents.
